We love when we can support an organization for not only a second year in a row, but a nonprofit in our own backyard. It was a pleasure Bridges of Light Foundation to support your 15th Annual Player's Ball.
The Bridges of Light Foundation was established in 2004 with an objective to raise money that is distributed specifically for children who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or at-risk. The funds raised go directly to helping these children further their education.
We believe that three important needs must be met in order for a child to be able to succeed in life: Nurturing, Guidance, and Education.
Bridges of Light has implemented a three-prong approach to meeting these needs:
Nurturing: Their ‘closets of care’ at local schools offer clothing, food, and other supplies for children to take home.
Mentoring: Their mission is to help children succeed and build confidence by developing life skills and offer guidance as they grow.
Tutoring: Bridges of Light has created a unique way to offer academic support by providing a program with one-on-one tutoring.
Over the years, the program has successfully grown in a local foster care facility, and has most recently been brought into the Orange County School System, starting at Carver Middle School. Their program impacts the lives of our future generations and brings hope to children who need it most. With the help of their supporters, they are looking forward to expanding their reach and helping to change the lives of more children in their community.
