The hospice was founded in 1982 because residents recognized the need for quality end-of-life care for the Stateline area. The committee that formed further believed that the compassionate care that was necessary must include the whole family, for the whole family could advocate for the patient’s additional spiritual and emotional needs, in addition to those physical needs a health professional would cover.
