MAITLAND, Fla. (December 16th, 2024) –The American Fundraising Foundation (AmFund) has announced the names of 13 Golden Pear Award recipients as part of its expanded support for qualified nonprofit organizations throughout the nation. Over 5,000 organizations applied for these special unrestricted grants through the American Fundraising Foundation’s 2024 Golden Pear Grant Program. This is the fifth grant cycle AmFund has provided unrestricted funding to organizations over and above their signature fundraising programs.
“Each organization effectively demonstrated their need, and with a 100% increase over previous cycles, it was a very difficult decision to choose some organizations over others”, said Deborah Marshall, Chief Operating Officer of the American Fundraising Foundation. “We are grateful to the nonprofit community for continuing to make life better for all of us through their varied missions. The Golden Pear is part of our logo and symbolizes good health, prosperity, longevity and future happiness – all the things we hope for these worthy organizations.”
This year’s Golden Pear Award recipients, receiving unrestricted grants ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 are:
Each recipient will receive personal notification, a press kit, big check presentation and feature stories on AmFund’s social media sites and newsletters.
“This has been a challenging year for many nonprofit organizations, and it is our honor to support them through our unrestricted Golden Pear Grants and the other programs offered by AmFund,” Marshall said. “This year marks another milestone for our organization—our 25th Anniversary and we are honored to share it with those that do so much in our communities.”
Each year AmFund, approves and partners with nearly 700 organizations throughout the United States and provides unrestricted funds to support important causes ranging from the arts; veterans’ services; senior and youth programs; animal rescues and therapies; and humanitarian relief. Over the past 25 years, AmFund has distributed over $60 million to worthy organizations through its sponsorship of events and over $575K in grants since 2020.
