American Fundraising Foundation Extends Application Deadline to Support Nonprofit Partners Nationwide
MAITLAND, Fla. (June 15, 2020) – The American Fundraising Foundation (AmFund) has extended the deadline for nonprofit organizations to apply for additional funding opportunities. A simple application form is available online at www.AmFund.org/Giving and will be accepted until 6 p.m. on July 15, 2020. Award recipients will be announced August 5th.
“We recognize the financial needs of nonprofit organizations throughout America are greater now than ever before, and we have received hundreds of applications seeking funding support,” said Deborah Marshall, Chief Operating Officer of the American Fundraising Foundation. “It is important for us to give as many organizations as possible the opportunity to receive unrestricted funds through one or more of the funding opportunities provided by AmFund. In addition to expanding our support to 650 nonprofits in 2020 and 800 in 2021, we also accelerated and expanded our year-end financial grant program with awards planned for mid-summer as well as in December.”
“The stories we have heard from organizations seeking our help, are heart wrenching,” Marshall elaborated. “Without assistance, it may mean essential support is not met for children, veterans, senior citizens, and animals. And leaders in the arts, such as operas, symphony orchestras and even therapeutic music programs are questioning how they will compete for funding resources this year and next year.”
AmFund’s President and Co-Founder, Wade West also expressed concern for the services provided by nonprofits and the need for more fundraising opportunities. “We all realize this pandemic created incredible challenges for nonprofits. Not only has AmFund perfected fundraising programs over the past 20 years, we are introducing new and innovative ways for organizations to meet their bottom-line financial goals,” he said.
